OLIGO


Oligo is a desktop program that selects oligonucleotide primers for PCR, sequencing, site-directed mutagenesis, and various hybridization applications.  It calculates hybridization temperature and secondary structure of oligonucleotides based on the nearest neighbor delta-G values.

Oligo is available for both Windows and Mac 
(Mac OS X and OS 9.2 ok;  OS 9.1 and OS 8.6 require CarbonLib ver 1.5 extension)

To run:  

PC

    • Find Windows_server on the Burnham internal network:
    • Start -> Run \\windows_server
    • Connect as guest@burnham.org, use password guest
    • Go to Oligo 6 folder and copy "Shortcut to OLIGO 6" to your desktop.
    • Run Shortcut to OLIGO 6 from your desktop.

MAC:

    • ​Connect to Macintosh server as guest.
    • Select Oligo 6
    • For OS 9.1, OS 8.6 users only:
    • copy CarbonLib to your local System Folder-> Extensions
    • restart computer
    • Double-click on Oligo 6 executable.
